The client
Osborne Care Homes runs a group of dementia care homes in North Somerset and South Wales. Osborne's bold vision includes continuing to enrich lives, developing their group and staff, innovating and making a difference every day.
The challenge
We were approached to create a new brand identity, websites and associated printed materials for the care home group. Osborne is a small but expanding group and as they were planning to add a further care home to their portfolio it was the perfect moment to reconsider their brand.
The solution
New brand values were our starting point for a new, fresh colour palette and we designed a series of brand marks for each of the homes, reflecting the local setting. The overlapping, angled shapes represent the idea memory and are reminiscent of scattered photos. This is inspired by our designers seeing how resident's photos are used throughout the homes to aid memory. This is summed up in a new strap line: 'Making Memories Together'.
A new digital look
While we worked on creating the brand identity, we were planning new websites for each of the homes. The previous online presence was old and was no longer serving Osborne well. We identified a series of areas the new websites needed to address, from more logically laid out information on the types of care available, short videos to bring the homes to life and a web accessibility toolbar to ensure the content was inclusive for all. This was combined with a smart new look reflecting the freshly minted brand work to transform the user experience.
"Bob really understood our project and our values and produced a new brand identity that will be instrumental to enacting our vision."
