Skills West is a ‘one stop’ free impartial skills advice service. The aim is to help identify and tackle skills gaps in your business and connect you with local and national training providers to ensure you get the most relevant, quality training. This service is a partnership with the Western Training Provider Network and local and national training providers. Skills West is funded through the European Social Fund and Education & Skills Funding Agency and commissioned by the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership.

Skills West had a requirement to produce 12 Annual Local Sector Skills Statements. These documents needed to report on local sector knowledge and expertise and feature infographics and useful snippets of information about the current state of those 12 industries from an employment and skills perspective. These documents were to be distributed to education providers and businesses to inform decisions and identify objectives for investment in training and development of curriculums.

Along with the reports, the Skills West advisers needed collateral for various events they were attending in an effort to raise awareness and create demand for the service. Along with the skills statements we created a number of assets and items useful in achieving this aim. Roller banners were designed and produced to ensure standout at the events, A4 folders designed and printed for the advisors to package all the information on training schemes in and Powerpoint presentation templates for use when they were making presentations to local businesses. We also created an icon for each sector which were used in the Powerpoint presentations, sector skills documents and other digital assets.
