The brief

Willow and Hall sells quality British living and bedroom furniture. The company has grown significantly in less than two years from start up to successful online furniture retailer. Bob has worked with Willow and Hall since the beginning, providing design support for sales and marketing collateral. As custodians of their brand, and producers of all of their printed materials, we’ve just finished work on a beautiful new brochure redesign showcasing Willow and Hall’s lovely British made product ranges and outlines the company ethos and USPs.

As the guardians and creators of the Willow and Hall brand look and feel, the bob boys were requested to help inject the essence of their brand back into the new website that they were having built. While the test site that had been built for them was functional and pleasant enough, to us it just seemed slightly generic and was certainly lacking that certain something that makes Willow & Hall stand out from their competitors. We worked with Willow and Hall’s in-house marketing team on a complete website redesign, analysing various pages of the site, from the design and look and feel to the customer journey through those pages and reaching the swatch order or checkout (the two goals). For this website redesign, our remit was to provide their developer (B:Web) with all new page layouts for them to build. We helped to rationalise the home page, make the navigation easier, bring the product pages to life and organise the brochure pages to be easily followed and understood by their customers.

The website redesign gives the user more information at their fingertips straight away, information on product dimensions, delivery, types of furniture, types of fabric and so on all help to aid and enhance the decision making process and we’ve been careful to inject a liberal dose of the personality that the site was crying out for – the little illustrations and quirkiness that makes Willow & Hall tick. Post launch the site has seen a healthy increase in swatch pack orders, and conversion stats from swatch order to product orders are also heading healthily on an upward curve.
